Subclass 186 visa through the Direct Entry (DE) stream
Subclass 186 DE is an employer sponsored permanent visa.
This is one pathway which can lead to permanent residency for visa applicants who (for example) maybe:
On a 457 visa and has not worked yet for 2 years with the same employer
Has never worked before or worked for short amount of time for the sponsoring employer
Has a suitable Australian employer who is willing to sponsor but will be outside Australia when applying for visa
On a temporary visa such as working holiday visa, special category 444 visa or New Zealand Citizen family relationship 461 visa
